Britain wouldn't be Britain without pints

An agreement has been reached with the EU to allow Britain to keep measuring its roads in miles and serving beer in pints.
Quite right too. We have standards to keep, where would we be without a pint of warm beer.
Pubs and restaurants are facing tough times in the current recession. The investment involved in changing glasses, reprogramming tills, reprinting menus etc. would kill it.
And the beer drinkers of Britain just don't want it. So there. Cheers and up yours Eurocrats.
Oh and our mile is bigger than your kilometre, so there.
